Recently I just experienced another error with my Canon XNU i320 printer - It's been with me for 4 years now :)
I got the following error when I tried to print any documents.
"Appropriate Print Head not Installed"
"Install the print head in the printer and click OK"
What the hell... I never even change or touch the print head and it gives me such an error.
I googled around and found out that a lot of other people also experienced the same error with their Canon Printer either XNU series or PIXMA series. And I can't find any solution yet. I thought it's time for me to change a new printer ( As everybody knows, print head cost a bit less or equal to a brand new printer ).
To my despair, I looked back at my own post here:
Canon XNU i320 - Waste Ink Tank Full Problem
And I run i320 service tool again and pressed buttons randomly ^_^
Look at the following picture, I marked all buttons that I have pressed.
Finally my printer works again. I print a test page and it comes out smoothly. Thanks Canon and your troublesome printer.
Conclusion
- If you faced the same error "Print Head not Installed", don't just give up your Canon Printer yet. I bet you still can fix it with an appropriate Service Tool.
- Each Canon printer has its own Service Tools, you can find it here http://www.servicemanuals.ru/sbros.htm
